RUGBY SUMMER CAMPS
Are you between 6 and 17 years old? Love Rugby? Do you want to kick like Ronan O'Gara? Side-step like Brian O'Driscoll, or even tackle like Paul O'Connell? Then Rugby School Camp is just for you! This is the place to learn about rugby. From:
- Young player development,
- Important basic skills,
- Team skills, and
- Game awareness
Players are always encouraged to participate and learn new techniques. At rugby school you will learn about fitness for sports, team spirit, motivation and nutrition.
What's involved
All our courses are designed to ensure first and foremost that children of all ages have fun and enjoy what they do. We focus on:
- Basic fitness: stretching and keeping fit safely for rugby and sports
- Basic skills: ball handling, tackling safely, running & kicking
- Hand-eye co-ordination: through some fun games
- Drills: to help you learn how to play the game
- Team spirit & motivation: communication and confidence
- Nutrition: how to eat well for sports
Our courses run for 5 weeks in the summer months in Barnhall Rugby Club, Parsonstown, Co. Kildare: Week commencing 28th June, 5th, 12th and 19th July, and 9th August, 2010. T-shirts and a barbecue at the end of each week.
